Deconstructing Product Design
The looks and heft of the Chanel flacons are a daily pleasure. You’ve pictured one with a spray, but the best ones have a stopper. It’s remarkable that it works both at the smaller, perfume sizes and then also at the larger, eau de parfum sizes as well. But really crucial: I love the scent.
So beautiful. It could just be the embedded branded image of Chanel No. 5, but everything about this says elegance and riches.
This is what happens when a brand is strong….
The lack of complexity makes this receptacle beautiful
In form and function.
The only thing that makes it better is buying it at Les Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann.
Proportional harmonics resonate a deserving anticipation … resonates in a deep appreciation for thoughtfulness. Communicates a cultural sincerity to fathom an exclusive aesthetic.
Women get this.
Too many men do not [and insist on their gift having an electric plug]. They make me look good.
Ha!, I gave myself an idea … I hereby claim all rights to a sculptural piece, perhaps a lamp, featuring a 3.4 oz Chanel No. 5 bottle with cord/plug attached.
The No. 5 bottle says, “I speak for myself, I do not need adornment. I am complex and perfect. If you understand this, here, I am yours. If you do not understand this, go, choose something more tarted up.”
